Customer Reviews

We recently had our fence and retaining wall completed, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The team was professional, hardworking, and kept us updated throughout the project, even with some bad weather delays. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, and the finished fence looks fantastic. They were respectful of both our property and the neighbouring property and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for fencing or retaining wall work. Thank you for a great job!

Matt, Chris, Rusty and the team are true blue great people to deal with. I called Matt up to see if he could help with a small job by his standards with a pretty minimal budget, and he was so honest with me about what could be achieved - and had excellent recommendations for what would be the best use of my limited funds. I really appreciated his honesty, excellent knowledge and expertise and willingness to do a job that far exceeded my expectations. Rusty is a superb digger operator - and a lovely guy, I was so pleased with his work - and grateful for his advice also. We’ve dealt with many different contractors and operators over the years - but hands down- I’d recommend Kiwi excavations again and again and look forward to when I have a better budget and can get them out to do some more work. Thanks team you guys are honestly a breath of fresh air and amazing at what you do! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Perfect company, effortless from start to finish. High quality workmanship. Appreciate it thanks

Outstanding fence. They were professional, communicative, and completed the fence exactly on time. The craftsmanship was amazing sturdy, clean, and exactly as requested. I appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to answer all my questions. I'd give them a 5-star rating and highly recommend them to anyone needing a quality fence.

A family member needed a section cleared, leveled, garden and concrete waste removed and a large area sown in grass. Matt visited the site and Chris gave a detailed quote/estimate. Communication was excellent. There were delays outside their control due to rain and they kept us fully informed. The invoices were detailed and clear. The grass is now well established and the section is easy to maintain. The owner says visitors have been very impressed.

Great results for the first stage of development. Appreciated the quick response to my enquiry and follow up swiftly with a site visit and plan. Thank you team

The team at Kiwi Excavations replaced a section of my 50 year old rotten fence in November 2024. They did a fantastic job, I'm thrilled with the result and would certainly engage them again in the future.

Excellent response time from initial inquiry. Professional and proficient information given in regards to fencing. The good old kiwi spirit of honesty and transparency regarding costs and pricing. Clear and straightforward communication given just how it should be.

Such a great company to deal with, the work was exceptional, communication was efficient and pricing was the best I found. Highly recommend

Very good team to deal with and well priced 👌

Matt, Chris and their team were great to deal with from the day we phoned to arrange a site visit and quote, through to completion of the job. A communicative, prompt and efficient approach to our concreting and landscape project has resulted in a significant improvement to our on-site parking options, and enhancement to the adjoining garden area. I would highly recommend Kiwi Excavations if you are wanting effective and value for money work undertaken.

Easy to deal with, came up with alternative ideas that we hadn't thought of. Happy with the job they did on our retaining wall.

Great local company, with good knowledge and customer service! No job too small and reliable crew to complete the work and find solution when needed. The newly built concrete steps look great now and wish I had them done earlier! Highly recommended.

We used Kiwidig to construct a small retaining wall, a concrete path and steps to the rear of our house. Very professional staff who turned up on time, carried out the work to a high standard and left no rubbish behind! The owner Matt had even come back the following day to check if we were happy with the outcome as he was not there when his workers finished up, very good service and would use again for our next project.

Work done to spec, completed quickly and tidily. Great communication and flexibility as our plans evolved.

The Kiwi Excavations team did a great job creating two oval concrete steps with exposed stone leading off of our verandah. The guys were professional & down to earth - excellent to liaise with. Thanks, our steps look awesome! We valued their work so much that we then utilised them for water blasting & sealing our poolside concrete, and water blasting & painting our concrete swimming pool.
