Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
Kiwi Excavations Limited ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Information you give us
When you use our contact form or quote popup, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of project you're enquiring about, and your message. This information is sent by email to our office and used solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, and manage any resulting work. We do not use it for marketing lists and we never sell it.
Information collected automatically
This website uses two analytics services to help us understand how the site is used:
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymised interaction data such as page views, clicks, and scrolling (session replays and heatmaps). Clarity may set cookies in your browser. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement for details.
- Ahrefs Analytics collects aggregate, cookie-free visit statistics such as page views and referrers.
We use this data only to improve the website. It is not combined with your contact form details.
Cookies and local storage
Apart from the analytics cookies described above, the site uses your browser's session storage to remember whether a notification popup has already been shown to you during a visit. This value stays on your device and is cleared when you close the browser.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails are retained for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project, plus a reasonable period for our business records, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. To do so, contact us using the details below and we'll respond promptly.
